Style: Champagne, Blanc de Blancs dry and invigorating
Tasting Note: Precise and pure, with citrus, floral and orchard fruit aromas. The palate is lovely, minerally and pure providing a long crisp refreshing slightly nutty finish, very drinkable indeed! A wonderful Grower Champagne that really shows the terroir of Cuis in the heart of the Côte des Blancs.
Food Pairing: Perfect with oysters, lobster, fish and chips, smoked salmon and crispy deep-fried chicken.
Producer: Pierre Gimonnet et Fils Winemaker: Didier Gimonnet
The Gimonnet family can be traced back to 1750 growing vines around the village of Cuis, south of Epernay, but it was between the wars that Pierre Gimonnet set up the winery that allowed him to become a grower-producer, specialising in Blanc de Blancs. Pierre Gimonnet was succeeded by his son Michel.
Olivier and Didier worked with their father Michel for a decade until his retirement in 1996 and have continued, and improved on, his work for over 20 years.

An immaculate blanc de blancs (100% chardonnay) champagne, arrow-like in its precision and focus, with an invigorating sourness and gentle touch of white blossom.

Delicate texture but some autolysis on the nose. Real savour and refreshment. Beginning, middle and end to this proper wine – very much more interesting than many champagnes at the same price.

Aromatic, with apple blossom and ripe fruit notes, this well-cut blanc de blancs shows a chalky underpinning, layered with flavors of glazed nectarine, toasted almond and candied ginger. Long and creamy on the finish. Drink now through 2020. 800 cases imported.
